David Codling has decided to retire as Executive Chairman of Hozelock Group after 30 years at the helm of the market-leading British manufacturer of garden watering products, pressure sprayers and pond equipment.

Simon Laffin, who has been an adviser to the Board for the last three years, will now become Non-Executive Group Chairman.
Mr Codling’s announcement follows the recent appointment of Steve Hall as Group CEO and has been planned for some time.
“Now that Hozelock has a strong team in place under Steve Hall’s leadership, I can hand over the reins in full confidence that the business is well placed to build on its 50 years of success, both at home and internationally," he said.

Mr Codling is looking forward to devoting more time to his family and other interests.
